in light of the breaking news that jesse james is now in the doghouse for carrying on an extramarital affair with a tatted up hooker, i have decided to investigate this mysterious phenomenon of ordinary men cheating on extraordinary, unbelievable women. i have chosen sandra, halle, and shania as examples of high profile scandals, but i know there are many others.
i just don't get it. how can you cheat on a woman who is obviously smart, undeniably classy, filthy rich, insanely talented, and off-the-charts gorgeous? i mean, really, how is it ever going to get better than halle berry?!?! that poor man who went behind her back because of an alleged "sex addiction" is in for a lifetime of continual disappointment.
a question i ponder: is it really worth it to a man to leave behind a home - an entity that has been both painstakingly and joyously built by one memory after the next - to get his kicks from a two bit cocktail waitress or an aspiring "model/actress/reality tv contestant?" i'm still baffled.
one thing is for sure, being an incredible woman who seems to have it all together does not make you immune from infidelity. i've said it once and i'll say it a thousand more times: billy currington was right...God is great. beer is good. and people are CRAZY!!!!!!!!
p.s. i'm genuinely bummed about the demise of sandra & jesse. i thought they were the real deal. i found myself telling someone just last week that i wanted a love like theirs. hmmm...guess not.
